There is an age that a sunrise, a fishing rod and a cup of coffee take the edge off better than alcohol… I’m at that age.

Sunday morning reminder:
Some of the best memories of my childhood started with Dad waking me up way earlier than I wanted to get up.

Every bad fishing trip somehow ends with me planning another one before I get home.

I’ve spent enough on fishing to own a nicer boat… if I hadn’t spent it on fishing.

I’m at that age

We’ve somehow convinced ourselves bass are underwater geniuses.

So we study water temperature, weather, moon phases, seasonal patterns and stare at thousands of dollars worth of electronics trying to figure them out.

Meanwhile, one sees a hard piece of plastic wobbling past a stump and thinks:

“Yeah, I should probably eat that.” 🎣

And somehow we’re the smart ones. 😂

Every fisherman has one bait they trust with their life… and another they only throw when they’re desperate.
