. Michael Ann Ewing was born with a passion for horses and a drive to compete that remains with her today.
She has a long and varied history with equines, beginning with pony club at the age of 6 and continuing today with her career training thoroughbred race horses. Michael has a dual perspective of race horse ownership. As both an owner and a trainer, she is sensitive to her clients’ needs for open and honest communication and the balance between doing the best for every horse while managing expenses effectively. She is a “hands on” trainer who loves the challenge of developing each horse to its greatest potential. Michael’s small yet competitive barn allows her to pay great attention to detail while gaining a thorough knowledge of each of the horses under her care. Typically, Michael’s training operation winters in Southern California while running at Santa Anita. The barn moves to Lexington, Kentucky for Keeneland’s Spring Meet and remains based in Kentucky until after Keeneland’s Fall Meet. From Lexington, Michael is able to consider races from a variety of tracks within an easy shipping distance. Further, her training operation in Lexington has access to amenities not found at city race tracks, such as a swimming pool, grass paddocks and grass gallops.

It’s been quite a month for TIER Racing as they notch their third win with A Stern Lady who breaks her maiden at Horseshoe Indianapolis Racing & Casino in career start #2. This win was especially special as is the foal out of Fashionable Lady, TIER Racing’s very first racehorse. Congratulations Tim and thank you Declan!

BB Prince ran a heck of a race to break his maiden at first asking at 52-1! We are so thrilled with this horse, he’s been a really fun addition to the barn. Congratulations to whole Bantry Farms team and thank you Oscar Villarreal for yet another winning ride.

Blanket season is quickly approaching and we have somehow managed to acquire so many blankets we have physically run out places to store them. So we have a bunch for sale! It’s mostly stable blankets in various sizes and weights. But we also have a few turn out blankets and several Big D blankets for all the ponies out there.
They are just about all listed on Marketplace but you can also shoot us a message with what you’re looking for and I’ll let you know if we’ve got it. Make us an offer!
