Students who are accepted into the program have a special talent or interest in the arts and receive instruction in visual arts, band, strings, vocal music, piano, dance (ballet and contemporary), drama and creative writing in addition to the state’s core academic curriculum. Learning is further enhanced by participation in performances throughout the year, as well as field trips and opportunities to meet and talk with other artists.
