Coca-Cola halted all US production of Fairlife, its milk and protein shake brand, after attackers gained access through a third-party vendor connected to Fairlife's IT systems. Fairlife brings in an estimated $4 billion a year, and the shutdown affects only US operations, Canada has not been impacted.

The ransomware group Anubis has claimed responsibility and says it has 1TB of confidential data, threatening to release it publicly if Coca-Cola does not respond within six days.

This is not Coca-Cola's first time dealing with this. A different ransomware group hit one of its Middle East distributors in 2025, later leaking passport scans and employee IDs when negotiations reportedly fell through.

Two breaches, two different points of entry, same result: production stopped and sensitive data at risk. Worth remembering that the attacker did not go through Coca-Cola's front door either time.

🚨INDUSTRY NEWS🚨

Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is notifying employees of a data breach tied to a flaw in Oracle E-Business Suite, the system the company used for HR management. The exposed data includes Social Security numbers, passport numbers, bank account information, and health records.

Estée Lauder was not the only company exploited by Clop ransomware group. Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, and The Washington Post were also hit by the same campaign.

This is the second time Estée Lauder has dealt with a Clop-linked breach; the first incident occurred back in 2023.

The attack pattern keeps repeating: attackers target a widely used piece of software, and every company running it becomes exposed at once, regardless of size or industry.
