GO CATS | Thank you to UK Sports & Campus Marketing and JMI Sports for inviting Thoroughbred Architects & Engineers to today’s Kentucky Football Kickoff Luncheon. It was a fantastic afternoon of networking, hearing Coach Stein share his vision for the season, and celebrating the excitement surrounding Kentucky Football.

A highlight of the day? Meeting Coach Stein’s wife, Darby—Jen Mueller, Thoroughbred Business Development Director, was definitely fan-girling for a minute! Welcome to Kentucky! We’re excited for a great season! Good Luck and Congrats!

We’re grateful to be part of such an incredible community. Go Cats!

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT | Thoroughbred is proud to have provided Civil Design and Architectural Services for the new F45 Training East Lexington studio, including site development and a customized floor plan.

This project is especially meaningful because our own Charlie Hall, Staff Land Planner, and his wife, Meg, own and operate the South Lexington F45 Training studio, while a second location in East Lexington is currently under construction.

As co-owner and project manager, Charlie worked closely with designers and contractors to help bring the new studio to life, while Meg serves as Manager and Head Trainer of the South Lexington studio and will also manage the East Lexington location. We are proud to have been part of bringing their vision to life!

PLANNING & ZONING | Growth doesn’t happen by chance—it happens through collaboration.

At Thoroughbred, we’re proud to work alongside city and county Planning & Zoning departments to help shape the future of our communities. Whether supporting revitalization in our urban centers or planning for sustainable growth in our rural communities, our team partners with local leaders to develop thoughtful, practical solutions that balance progress with long-term community needs.

From planning and zoning support to site planning, due diligence, engineering, architecture, and development consulting, we’re committed to helping communities grow with purpose.

Together, we’re building stronger communities—one project, one partnership, and one vision at a time.

BROWNFIELD BEAUTY | The Railyard project is an infill development on a brownfield site. Being a brownfield site, which is an abandoned or underused property where actual or perceived environmental contamination (e.g., from former gas stations, manufacturing facilities, or railyards) complicates expansion or reuse, presented some challenges launching this project and meeting specific completion deadlines.
🏗️
Through collaboration with the project team, Thoroughbred recommended a micropile foundation system that was implemented to keep the project feasible and on schedule. We cannot wait for the completion and official ribbon cutting! WELL DONE Will Hanrahan
