π¨ ACTION ALERT: Medicaid Waiver Services Are at Risk (Please Read Full Post)
*****UPDATE: This afternoon Medicaid announced a 4% across the board rate cut for ALL WAIVERS******
Cuts to reimbursement rates don't just affect providers; they also affect families that support loved ones through the PDS service option.
Waiver service reimbursement rate cuts will result in:
β Reduced access to services
β Longer waiting lists
β Decreased wages for caregiving/support professionals
β Increased workforce shortages
β Increased costly institutional placements
β Potential program closures
Please take 2 minutes today to contact Governor Beshear and ask him to protect Kentucky's 1915(c) waiver services. Contact the Governor here: https://governor.ky.gov/contact/contact-us
Suggested message:
"Governor Beshear, please do not make cuts to 1915(c) Medicaid Waiver reimbursement rates. Waiver services support more than 20,000 vulnerable Kentuckians. The 4% rate reduction will put services, providers, and individuals at risk. Please save our 1915(c) waiver services!"
Every email matters. Every voice matters.
π’ Act today and help protect the waiver services Kentucky's most vulnerable citizens depend on.
