Almost a year ago Katherine walked into our doors… I still remember her face and her desire to change…. One of the things that Katherine understood is you must surrender… what does that mean ? Take suggestions of others lay your own feelings and thoughts down and give it all to your higher power.

Katherine is now staff …
She volunteers her own time on the weekends and drives the clients to church
She gets married come September 26th ….
She’s housed
She’s employable
She’s a mother
She’s a grandmother
She’s just like you and I but chose to do something different.

Today we witnessed her getting baptized! How beautiful it was to watch her family in the crowd cheering her on ….

A year and a half ago Brandon, Josh and I had this crazy idea to play recovery softball …. Never did I think we would still be playing today and other recovery centers would jump on in… we just expected a good summer … here’s to two summers of softball 💪🏼❤️🙏🏋️

A higher power is vital in recovery !!!!

AA says a Higher Power can be God “as you understand Him,” which allows each person to define it according to their own beliefs.

For many, it is God; for others, it may be the AA group, nature, love, or another spiritual source of strength.

One of our previous graduates comes back every month and volunteers her own time to provide free haircuts for others in recovery.

That’s what recovery looks like.

Service work. Giving back. Helping the next person without expecting anything in return.

Sobriety isn’t built by complaining it’s built through gratitude, purpose, and serving others.

Service to others strengthens sobriety. Complaining gets you nowhere.

Recovery isn’t just about changing your life… it’s about using your life to help change someone else’s. 💙
