Sixth-grade English students set sail on an epic literary adventure with Homer’s Odyssey. 🌊🔱⚔️🏛️📜 After reading a young adult adaptation of the classic tale, students brought Odysseus’s legendary journey to life by creating illustrated maps tracing his encounters, challenges, and adventures along the way.
As they followed Odysseus from one obstacle to the next, students explored what makes a story compelling, including narrative arc, literary tension, and the stages of the heroic journey. 📚📖 The project combined close reading, creativity, and visual storytelling while giving students a deeper understanding of one of literature’s most enduring adventures.

The Willows enjoyed a hands-on lesson in beauty and community as students cut fresh flowers and filled bud vases to take home. Back in the classroom, each child could select a unique bud vase and choose flowers for their arrangement. 💐🌻🌸
Interacting with students across campus is such a wonderful community-building practice for our PreK students, as well as the Middle schoolers! ₊˚⊹💙₊˚⊹
Our students get to observe older Spartans participating in service work, campus beautification and care, and being generally kind people. The older students practice patience, build leadership skills, and become increasingly mindful of the “little Spartans” as they move across campus. It really creates a sense of belonging for everyone involved. 🙌❤️🫂

The Don Jacobs, Sr. Seminar series kicked off this week with an exciting assortment of mentors ready to share their knowledge with the Class of 2027. Most of these mentors are alumni and/or current parents.
Throughout the year, seniors will experience a curriculum that deals with personal finance and legal and civic responsibilities. The students will be exposed to guest speakers from various professions covering the principles of Earning, Owing, Spending, Investing, Saving, and Giving. This will give them a well-rounded view of the financial world.
Stepping outside the classroom to explore, bond, and grow. 🌱✨ Check out some of our favorite memories from the road this fall! 🎬💙

A four-year-old classroom built a snake they named Elmer using cardboard tubes, with help from their lower school buddies. By collaborating, the students built this enormous creature and decided to give it a walk around campus.
Once again, they had to work together to make sure Elmer didn't touch the ground and was sidewinding it's way back to the classroom!
New experiences, shared laughs, and unforgettable moments on the road. 🛣️📸 Watch how our students embraced adventure on their fall trip!
