Information on Quick Bid Process! 📬 Let’s clear up exactly how the in-house Quick multiple bid process works when several duty assignments are posted at once.
Under the contract, when more than one job is posted, you can indicate your preferences in numerical order when you look at all bids. This part of the process does not have to go in order of Senior clerk down. This is similar to when its posted for online or phone submission, bids are coming out of order.
Once all of the bidding is collected and the process is closed, the duty assignments are awarded by Highest seniority to the senior qualified bidders based on those exact stated preferences. If your top choices are taken by more senior clerks, you will be awarded your highest available preference. Importantly, you cannot cancel a bid after the awarding process has started.

Big news for postal employees broke this morning.
The USPS announced it is suspending its employer contributions to FERS, roughly $400 million a month, citing a cash crisis that could see the agency run out of funds within 12 months without congressional intervention.
Here's the breakdown:
✅ Employee FERS contributions — continuing
✅ Employee TSP contributions — continuing
✅ USPS employer automatic and matching TSP contributions — continuing
❌ USPS employer share of FERS pension contributions — suspended
Whether you're a postal employee trying to understand what this means for your retirement, or a financial professional helping clients navigate it — this is exactly the kind of development that underscores why understanding your federal benefits inside and out matters.
