Learn how to protect your babies from the hazardous air

This can be very dangerous for infants. Please wash your hands before handling any of your child’s food. Also make sure to wash all produce before giving it to your child.

The Auglaize County Health Department is currently investigating an increase in gastrointestinal illness cases impacting Auglaize County residents. Some of these cases are caused by a parasite called Cyclospora.

To reduce your risk of Cyclosporiasis:

Wash Your Hands - hand washing should be for no less than 20 seconds with soap and using running water.

Wash All Produce - produce, including from farmers markets, home gardens, and grocery stores should be washed and scrubbed under running cool water.
