This fall, Jaelan is headed to the University of Mount Union to pursue Sports Medicine/Exercise Science. Through the Lima Community Foundation, he received three scholarships honoring his hard work, dedication, and the goals he's chasing next:

Today we celebrate the birthday of John W. MacDonell, the man who helped shape the Lima Community Foundation into what it is today. As our volunteer President, John grew LCF to more than $8 million in assets alongside Executive Director Susie Gray. He believed in connecting people who care with causes that matter, and his legacy lives on in every grant, every scholarship and every donor we serve. Happy Birthday, John. 💙

Meet Avah, a Lima Senior High School graduate heading to The Ohio State University this fall to study Primary Education!

Avah was awarded five scholarships through the Lima Community Foundation, including the Lima Senior Alumni Scholarship, Marcene Alice Cook Scholarship, Monica Lynnette Berger Teacher Education Scholarship, James M. and Ruth E. McBride Scholarship, and the Lima City Schools- Teachers Scholarship.

Congratulations, Avah! We can't wait to see the impact you'll make in the classroom. 💙
