Working and training with your dog DOES NOT need to take up all of your time. We ask you to give just ONE hour a week with us and the rest honestly just works into your daily routine.
The hour spent with us - allows trainers to watch YOU - make adjustments, point out areas to improve or areas that are perfect. Building on tools and knowledge each week.
Then you go home. This is where the overwhelming thought of keeping up takes place. Yes, we want you to work with your dog every day - multiple times a day. But that doesn't mean having to squeeze in another straight hour, each day, focusing on commands and obedience. 2 mins - YES - 2 mins here. Maybe 4 mins there. Throughout your day. While you are making dinner, watching TV, walking from room to room, going in and out of the house, in the backyard, even picking up kids from events. There are learning opportunities to work with the dog.
This new pup Brutus is off to a wonderful start of learning commands and good manners and he doesn't even know it! He just knows this is the routine, the words, and treats!! 😍 Soon, the treats will go away but the words, the actions, and the knowledge is just there - like second nature.
As the video shows, Brutus was entertaining himself, but then all of a sudden - a command. Owners are sitting there watching TV but what a perfect time to just do a recall and work on a few command words quick. He nails them and then everyone can go back to your business.
You added the dog to the family - now it is up to YOU to give them the 2-5 mins here and there throughout your day helping them be the dog you want. We can help you figure out that routine.
**New Session starts next week** Classes are offered every 6wks for all ages and all levels. www.thatplaceforpets.com
