The Ohio Department of Development has released updated TechCred guidelines ahead of the next application round, opening October 1, 2026. The updated framework sharpens the program's focus on technology-driven skills, giving employers a targeted way to invest in their workforce.

To help Allen County employers understand these changes, Northwest State Community College/Customized Training Solutions is hosting a Virtual TechCred Update meeting.

Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jim Tressel stopped at the Lima Procter & Gamble facility on August 19 as part of their Heart of Opportunity Tour.

Today, the Lima facility accounts for approximately 7% of P&G’s total global revenue and is one of the larger manufacturing employers in Lima, demonstrating the impact of strong partnerships between business and economic development. The celebration reminded everyone of the momentum across Ohio and the important role local businesses, community leaders, and government partners play in building a stronger future for our region.
