After the recent storms, we know many homeowners may be dealing with unexpected damage and a lot of questions.

Before making any decisions, we recommend contacting your insurance team first and having a reputable contractor inspect your property. Most importantly, don't sign any contracts or agreements until you've confirmed with your insurance company what will be covered. Taking a few extra steps now can help you avoid costly surprises later.

If you have questions or need guidance, we're here to help every step of the way. Please don't hesitate to give us a call at 630-971-1100. Stay safe, and we're wishing everyone a smooth recovery.

Looks like a have another fight tonight. Second round of storms is inbound.

🌪️ILLINOIS TORNADOES: The Land of Lincoln has surpassed the YEARLY average of 66 tornadoes by a lot. Based on my county, 91 tornadoes have been confirmed across the state through April 20th, with surveys ongoing (meaning that count could go up).

All data is preliminary, but there have been more than 400 tornadoes so far this year across the US, and Illinois has had more tornadoes than any other state so far in 2026.

Iowa has been less active, with 18 tornadoes, so far.

Important to note: Technology over the last decade has really improved, giving meteorologist and researchers more tools to detect tornadoes on radar, and via satellite.
