When an emergency strikes—a medical crisis, housing loss, or fleeing an unsafe situation—many families face the devastating possibility of surrendering their pets.

While FLEAS does not offer temporary crisis fostering or boarding assistance, we want to ensure our community knows where to turn when life throws a curveball.

Here is a quick guide to national and regional programs that step in so a temporary crisis doesn't become a permanent goodbye:

🚨 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲 & 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀
𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗥𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿: Provides Safe Escape grants to cover up to 45 days of temporary pet boarding so survivors can safely leave abusive situations together with their pets.

𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗧 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 / 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿: Pairs military personnel on deployment and hospital patients undergoing extended care with vetted, short-term foster homes.
