August saw inflation hold above the Federal Reserve’s target, bond yields stay elevated, and oil swing sharply on geopolitical tensions.

The economy wasn’t faltering, just running at two speeds, as demonstrated by strong performance from the services sector, which was offset by a marked pullback in the manufacturing sector. That divide, layered on top of a low-hire, low-fire labor environment and persistent inflation, complicates the outlook for both growth and Fed policy. Swipe to see more.

As always, if any of this raises questions about your own portfolio, we are just a call or email away. Helping you make sense of it all is exactly what we are here for.

U.S. markets closed the week little changed, but the tone shifted Friday. A much stronger August jobs report pushed Treasury yields and the dollar higher, and sent stocks lower into the close, reviving talk of a Federal Reserve rate hike later this month. Swipe to learn more.

Round Table Financial is still looking for a part-time office manager, and honestly, we might have made the first announcement sound more complicated than it needed to be.

Here's the actual job:

About 20 hours a week. Assisting me — Alex — with the admin work, coordination, and general office operations that keep a small Arkansas RIA running. Client scheduling, document organization, coordinating with Bob and Thomas, helping build better systems as we grow.

$15 to $20 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Flexible schedule within business hours. Weekdays only.

We're looking for someone with a good head for detail — a retired professional, a returning parent, an empty-nester, a career-changer, or a recent graduate whose healthcare is solved elsewhere and who wants meaningful, low-pressure work in a small firm.

If it sounds like you — or someone you know — please pass it along. Call or email us to talk.

Full details at rtfinancial.us/join-the-table

(Also — if you're an established adviser interested in a different kind of conversation, including a possible merger or book acquisition, call us. That door is open too.)

— Alex

Last week was marked by contradiction. Consumers pulled back, yet a cluster of forces kept interest rate risk dictating the pace of the economy.

Inflation remained stubborn, oil prices climbed on the U.S. threat of new economic sanctions on Iran, and federal borrowing pushed higher. Ultimately, long-term Treasury yields ended up setting the market’s mood, and stocks closed lower. Swipe to see more information.

We're growing at Round Table Financial — and we're looking for one person to join us. What's unusual is that the role is what you make of it.
For someone ambitious: it's a fast-track entry into wealth management, with the Series 65 paid for.
For someone who wants meaningful part-time work without the pressure: it's a steady hourly role.
For an already-licensed adviser who wants more freedom than the big firms allow: it's a home for that too.
Same firm. Same starting compensation. You choose the path.
Swipe through, then head to rtfinancial.us/join-the-table for the full story. Or call (501) 500-0170.
Pull up a chair. Glad to have you.
