Whether you like Mondays or not, it’s always fun to look ahead to the weekend. Especially since this coming Friday is the 2nd Friday! This month, join us on Friday, October 9th, from 5 to 8 pm for our monthly 2nd Friday Extended Hours at Art Group Gallery.

We’ll have a live drawing session with four live models, and AGG artists will be drawing and painting right in the gallery. You’re welcome to drop by and watch the works come to life, or sketch along with us. This free event is open to all and will include pizza, b**r, and a great chance to experience the gallery after hours.

Before we jump into what's coming up, we want to say thank you to everyone who joined us for Matt McLeod's solo show, Unexpected Perspective, Opening Reception. If you missed the reception last night, the show is on view through the end of the month, so come see it in person!

Be sure to save the date for this month's 2nd Friday Extended Hours at Art Group Gallery. On Friday, October 9th, from 5 to 8 PM, join us at the gallery for an evening of life drawing. Enjoy casual drawing sessions with live models, plus pizza, b**r, and w**e. AGG artists will be drawing and painting, and guests are welcome to sketch along or just come watch. This event is free, open to the public, and a great chance to experience the gallery in a relaxed after-hours setting. We hope to see you there!

Although it's still a month away, it's not too early to start thinking about our annual customer appreciation event. Save the date for our TY Show on Thursday, November 5th, from 5 to 8 PM. More details to come, and you won't want to miss it!

September has flown by, and there are just a few days left. It's been a wonderful month full of workshops, art markets, and more, and we're excited for what October holds, specifically October 1st!

This Thursday, you're invited to join us for the Unexpected Perspective, Opening Reception, where you can meet the artist, enjoy refreshments, and see the everyday from an unexpected perspective. You'll be able to see more works like this one, showcasing unexpected perspectives, tilted horizons, and shifted points of view that turn the landscape into something new to look at.

We’re officially one week away from the opening reception of Unexpected Perspective, a solo exhibition by artist Matt McLeod. This time next week, you’re invited to join us at the gallery from 5–8 PM for an evening of art with refreshments, a chance to meet the artist, and be among the first to view the show.

As we get closer to the opening, we thought we’d share a bit of insight into the show. Works from this show invite the viewer to see things in a different way, and a big part of that comes from the way Matt approaches his compositions.

“I have found that intentionally moving the point of view adds interest. Moving my perspective stimulates my eye.” By shifting his point of view, Matt finds new ways to arrange the visual elements within a landscape, creating the unexpected perspectives that inspired this body of work.
