PBL didn’t fail. The implementation system might have.
When Project Based Learning does not get the results school leaders hoped for, it is easy to blame teacher resistance, limited buy-in, or overwhelmed students.
But most of the time, the problem is not the people.
It is the system.
PBL cannot depend on one energetic principal, one superstar teacher, or one inspiring professional development day. If the work disappears when a leader leaves or the training binder gets buried, then we did not build a system.
We built dependency.
In our newest blog, our CEO Ryan Steuer unpacks how K–12 administrators can:
