Mahjong is officially here! Join us in partnership with Bridgerland Mahjong for open-play mahjong sessions in Community Room B on the 1st Monday of the month from 5:30 PM โ€“ 8:30 PM, the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month from 12:30 PM โ€“ 2:30 PM, and the 3rd Friday of the month from 2:00 PM โ€“ 4:00 PM. Children ages 10 and up must be supervised by an adult. . .

Ve vant your blood! Join us on October 30 from 11-5 PM for a Blood for Fines event in partnership with the Red Cross (and it's vampire-themed!). REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT ON OUR EVENTS CALENDAR. Join us for a new card making class in the Logan Library Makerspace, led by Linda Jemett, starting in October! There is a class geared towards adults on the first Monday of the month at 6 PM (starting October 5), and a class geared towards children on the third Monday of the month at 6 PM (starting October 19). All children will need to be accompanied by an adult. Each month will feature seasonally themed cards you can make and all supplies will be provided! . .

Join us on October 7 at 7 PM in Community Room A for a Banned Books Week talk by Jessica Horton, former attorney and founder of Let Davis Read, a freedom-to-read advocacy group. She will be talking about the state of book bans across Utah, busting myths about them, giving some background on the lawsuit challenging Utah's book-banning law, and outlining steps community members can take to get involved in the fight for our students' freedom to read. . .

Join us on October 14 at 6 PM in Logan Library's Community Room B for a lecture by folklorist Dr. Jeannie Thomas. At this lecture, she will explore how the 1692 witch trials continue to shape modern-day Salem, Massachusetts. Drawing on interviews with local residents, Dr. Thomas examines the collision of history, popular culture, and "dark tourism"โ€”revealing how "invasive narratives" transform a city's identity, economy, and public memory. . .

Cache Valley youth (grades K-8) are encouraged to submit artwork about what makes Utah beautiful for the America250 Kids Art Contest, themed "America the Beautiful"! Those interested can pick up an entry form and full contest details at the Logan Libraryโ€™s 1st-floor desk. Submissions will be accepted at the same desk from October 5 to October 19, and entries will be organized into grade categories for voting. . .

Join us for open-play Mahjong sessions, starting in October, designed to bring players of all skill levels together and hosted in partnership with volunteers from Bridgerland Mahjong. Children 10 and older are welcome, but must be supervised by an adult.
