The theme of Women’s History Month in 2026 is “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.” This theme celebrates the diverse contributions of women who are leading sustainability efforts across environmental, economic, educational, and social justice movements.

On display in the Chancellor’s Office lobby, this installation sponsored by CO BSA honors the legacy and scholarship of Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr., historian, storyteller, and champion of Black intellectual traditions.

A powerful reminder that history is preserved, interpreted, and carried forward through scholarship and community.
