LBPD press release: More on the shooting we first posted last night, August 9…Hit Shooting - 100 Block of Pacific Coast Highway: On August 9, 2026, at approximately 11:23 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Pacific Coast Highway to a report of a shooting with multiple victims. The preliminary investigation indicates three female adults sustained gunshot wounds. Two victims suffered non‑life‑threatening injuries to their lower body, and a third victim sustained a gunshot wound to her torso and is in critical condition. All victims were transported by the Long Beach Fire Department to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, it is believed that this incident is not a random act of violence. The investigation is ongoing.

Triple Shooting: 8/9/26 23:25 | 100 block of East Pacific Coast Highway & 1700 block Locust; LBPD, LBFD are on scene of a triple shooting near this location. One female victim is unconscious and breathing, a female victim is conscious and breathing and a third victim on the 1700 block of locust ave has a GSW to the lower body and is conscious and breathing. Unknown suspect description at this time. LBPD will have multiple streets in the area closed for an unknown duration.

Shooting: 8/4/26 21:54 unknown location; LBPD is on scene at a local hospital with a walk in GSW patient. The patient is conscious and breathing with a few GSW’s to the lower body. The patient did advise they were shot in North Long Beach off Long Beach Blvd but not sure of the other street. LBPD is investigating the incident.

Barricaded Suspect: 7/21/26 17:30 | Area of Anaheim Street & Walnut Ave; LBPD is on scene of a barricaded suspect in a vehicle near MacArthur Park. The suspect possibly committed a crime and is barricaded. The SWAT team is on scene and is negotiating with the suspect. LBFD is staging nearby. Multiple streets in the area are closed. Avoid the area

Vegetation Fire: 7/19/26 14:30 | Pacific Place & 405; LBFD, LBPD, CHP are on scene of a brush fire stemming from a trailer fire. Engine 9 is advising there is a moderate rate of spread to the north and east. The wind is pushing the fire and Battalion Chief 3 is requesting 3 additional engines for a total of 7 engines. Pacific Place and the 405/710 on ramps are closed from pacific for an unknown duration.

Deceased person: 7/18/26 22:30 6500 block Lemon Ave; LBFD is on scene of a female in her 20’s in full arrest in the area. When LBFD arrived on scene, they tried life-saving measures, but was unsuccessful and determined the female deceased on scene. LBPD requested for traffic control. Unknown circumstances surrounding the death.

Hit shooting: 7/17/26 20:10 2600 block Baltic Ave; LBPD, LBFD are on scene of a hit shooting in the area. The victim has a GSW to his limb and is conscious and breathing. The suspects car is a white sedan per the victim. Casings recovered in the area. The vehicle was occupied X3 and the passenger was shooting per LBPD. Avoid the area for investigation.

Major Traffic Collision 7/14/26 17:15 | Long Beach Blvd & Burnett Street; LBPD, LBFD are on scene of a vehicle vs Metro A Line Train. The driver of the car is conscious and breathing. No injuries reported on the train as of now. Northbound Long Beach Blvd & Burnett Street will be closed for an unknown duration.

LBPD Press Release about the traffic fatality we first posted last night:

TRAFFIC FATALITY – OCEAN BOULEVARD AND GOLDEN AVENUE

Detectives are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic collision that occurred on July 13, 2026, resulting in the death of a pedestrian.

At approximately 11:44 p.m., officers responded to the area of Ocean Boulevard and Golden Avenue regarding an injury hit-and-run traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, officers located a male adult pedestrian in the roadway. Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and determined the pedestrian deceased.

The preliminary investigation indicates an unknown black vehicle was traveling eastbound in the number two lane on Ocean Boulevard just west of Golden Avenue when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing northbound outside of a crosswalk.

The black vehicle fled the area eastbound on Ocean Boulevard.

The pedestrian was struck again by a white truck and a third time by a red sedan. Neither vehicle stayed on scene.

The identity of the decedent is pending identification by the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner.

Fatal traffic accident involving pedestrian: Ocean Blvd & Golden shore 7/13/26 23:45; LBPD, LBFD are on scene of a fatal traffic collision involving a pedestrian. The call went out as a body laying in the road. It’s unknown if the vehicle stopped or if it was a hit-and-run. LBPD will have the immediate area blocked off for investigation. The body shield was requested. Avoid the area.

Update; LBPD is advising this is a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.
