House Fire: 10/3/26 10:57 | 1700 Block of Harbor Ave; LBPD, LBFD are on scene of a house Fire in a previously burned structure with heavy smoke and fire showing. Engine 3 is fire attack, Truck 1, 7 is ventilation and Battalion Chief 3 is incident command.

Update: 10:58; Engine 3 is requesting a second alarm fire for the fully involved structure.

Update: 11:00; Harbor incident command is advising there is live power lines down, Southern California Edison requested.

Update: 11:19; LBFD is advising the fire is knocked down.

Structure Fire: 10/2/26 7:11 | 1700 block of Harbor Ave; LBPD, LBFD are on scene of a structure fire with heavy smoke showing at the old snug top building. Engine 3 is fire attack, Truck 1, 7 are ventilation and Battalion Chief 1 is incident command. LBPD requested for traffic and crowd control.

Update: 7:11; Engine 3 is requesting a second alarm for heavy smoke in the building. Still in an offensive strategy.

Update: 7:19; LBFD is advising the fire is knocked down.

Update: 7:26; LBFD is advising primary search is complete.

Structure Fire: 9/27/26 19:18 | 21st Street & Long Beach Blvd; LBPD, LBFD are on scene of a structure fire at a car lot. Engine 7 is advising there is heavy black smoke and fire showing from the structure. Engine 7 is also advising there are high voltage lines down across 21st street. LBPD is closing Long Beach Blvd in both directions and 21st street east of Long Beach Blvd. Edison has been requested.

Update: 19:23; Incident Command is requesting a second alarm response.

Update: 19:28; Engine 7 is advising the fire is knocked down and Battalion Chief 1 is assuming Incident Command.

Update: 19:29; LBFD is advising primary search is complete.

Update: 19:40; Incident Command is advising an unknown amount of car fluids (oil, gas, etc) has leaked from the source of the fire and has impacted a storm drain. Health hazmat requested.

Double Shooting: 9/26/26 21:15 | 1900 Lemon Ave; LBPD, LBFD are on scene at Martin Luther King Jr Park near the Lemon Ave parking lot with a female and male victim with a GSW to the upper body. Both victims are conscious and breathing. LBPD is providing aid until LBFD arrives.

Update: 21:23; LBFD is beginning to provide aid to the patients

Update: 21:29; Rescue 10 is transporting the first victim to an area hospital.

TRAFFIC FATALITY – PACIFIC AVENUE AND 6TH STREET

Collision Investigation detectives are investigating a Sept. 21, 2026 traffic collision, resulting in the death of a female adult pedestrian.

On Sept. 21, 2026, at approximately 10:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Pacific Avenue and 6th Street regarding an injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a female adult pedestrian in the roadway with injuries to her upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and determined she had succumbed to her injuries.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by a 25-year-old resident of Long Beach, was traveling northbound on Pacific Avenue when it struck the pedestrian, who was lying in the roadway for unknown reasons. The driver of the Tahoe immediately stopped and called 9-1-1. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.

At this time, neither speed, impaired driving, nor distracted driving appear to be factors in the collision.

The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld, pending the notification of the next of kin by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

Fatal traffic collision with pedestrian: 9/21/26 22:55 600 Block Pacific Ave; LBPD,LBFD are on scene of a fatal vehicle vs pedestrian collision. When first responders arrived on scene, they rendered life-saving measures, but was unsuccessful and determined the pedestrian deceased on scene. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian stayed on scene and is cooperating . All the streets in the area will be blocked for an unknown duration. Body shield requested. Avoid the area.

Stabbing: 9/20/26 20:27 | 1700 block of Long Beach Blvd; LBPD, LBFD are on scene of a stabbing victim at this location. The male victim has a stab wound to the upper body. LBFD is assessing the victim. The stabbing may have occurred near 16th and Long Beach Blvd. The suspect is a male unknown wearing a black hoodie last seen Southbound Long Beach Blvd.

Update: 20:34; Rescue 3 and Engine 10 are transporting the victim to an area hospital

Hit and Run Traffic Collision: 9/19/26 11:52 | Long Beach Blvd & Anaheim Street; LBPD, LBFD are on scene of a hit and run traffic collision. The female victim is conscious and breathing complaining of pain to the lower body and is being evaluated by LBFD. LBPD is advising the suspect vehicle is possibly a van last scene Northbound Long Beach Blvd. LBPD will have Northbound Long Beach Blvd closed for an unknown duration.

TRAFFIC FATALITY - EAST 7th STREET AND PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY

Collision Investigation detectives are investigating a Sept. 18, 2026 traffic collision, resulting in the death of a male adult pedestrian.

On September 18, 2026 at approximately 12:35 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of East 7th Street and Pacific Coast Highway regarding an injury hit-and-run traffic collision. Initial reports indicated a white sedan struck a pedestrian and fled the scene.

When officers arrived on scene, they located an unconscious male adult in the roadway and began lifesaving measures. Paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department responded to the scene and determined the adult male had died from injuries sustained in the collision.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a white BMW. Officers quickly located the involved vehicle and driver at the intersection of 2nd Street and Pacific Coast Highway.

The preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was in a wheelchair and traveling eastbound across Pacific Coast Highway at East 7th Street in a marked crosswalk. The 2021 BMW, traveling southbound on Pacific Coast Highway, collided with the pedestrian while he was in the crosswalk. The BMW came to a stop, then drove away from the scene without rendering aid to the victim.

The driver of the BMW, 23-year-old Ethan Chung of Irvine, was booked into the Long Beach City Jail on $50,000 bail for felony hit-and-run and vehicluar manslaughter.

The identity of the victim will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

At this time, speed, distracted driving, or impaired driving do not appear to be factors in the collision, and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
