On Saturday, our hearts broke once again.

The city of Sumy came under another devastating attack. This isn't just news to us, it's personal.

Two families from the church we attended while living in Sumy had their homes hit in the strikes. We also learned that a man we knew from another local church was killed. He leaves behind a wife and a child whose lives have been changed forever.

It's hard to put into words the grief of watching people you know continue to suffer through a war that has lasted far too long. Behind every headline is a family. A home. A child. A church community. Friends.

Today, we are asking you to join us in prayer.

* Pray for God's protection over the people of Sumy and all of Ukraine.
* Pray for the families whose homes were damaged as they face the difficult days ahead.
* Pray especially for the wife and child who are mourning the loss of a husband and father.
* Pray for comfort, strength, hope, and for this war to finally come to an end.
