The 𝙇𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 𝘼𝙡𝙪𝙢𝙣𝙖𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 of 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗺𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. was honored to partner with the City of Longview Juneteenth Committee for the 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝟱𝗞!

What an incredible morning of community, unity, and celebration as participants came together to run, walk, and honor the enduring legacy of Juneteenth. From seasoned runners to first-time participants, the event showcased the power of coming together in remembrance of our history while embracing a healthier future.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the City of Longview Juneteenth Committee, volunteers, sponsors, law enforcement officers, and every participant who helped make this inaugural event a success. Your support and enthusiasm helped create a meaningful experience for all.

Happy Juneteenth! Today, we celebrate freedom!

❤️💙 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡! 💙❤️

On 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟗, 𝟏𝟖𝟔𝟓, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free. Juneteenth commemorates that historic day and celebrates freedom, resilience, and hope.

The 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠 tells this story:
⭐ The white star represents Texas and the freedom of African Americans in all 50 states.
⭐ The bursting outline symbolizes a new beginning.
⭐ The red, white, and blue colors remind us that Black history is American history.
⭐ The curved horizon represents new opportunities and a brighter future.
