Our CTE students turn recycled hardwood sawdust from the shop into clean, fire briquettes—learning real-world sustainability while raising funds for our program.

Looking for a fun, educational activity right after school? Join Thurston County Inclusion for a special collaboration with Stream Team at Tumwater Falls Hatchery!

Youth ages 5–22 with and without disabilities are invited to explore the falls and hatchery while learning all about the incredible journey of salmon. Stream Team will share fun and informative facts, guide our group throughout the hatchery and surrounding area, and help us discover more about these amazing local fish.

TCI will also provide fun, hands-on crafts and accessible activities to make the day even more engaging!

This event is a great opportunity for homeschool families, youth with flexible school schedules, or anyone looking for a fun educational experience outside the classroom.

Would you like to help start an Autism Society of Washington Coffee Club or local chapter?

We’ve had some interest come in through email, and now we need local people to connect with each other and help get things going!

We’ve had emails this week from:

Cowlitz County
Yakima County
Camas/Vancouver area

But we need YOU!

Local representation is so important to us. We want Autistic voices to be heard across Washington, and we want Autistic people to have opportunities to make meaningful connections right in their own hometowns and counties.

The people who live in an area know it best. Local volunteers can help us understand what their county or area needs, what resources are already available, and what kinds of connections and activities would be meaningful to the people who live there.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. We just need a few local people who are interested in connecting, building relationships, and helping get a Coffee Club or chapter started. ASW can help support you through the process.

You can help create community right where you live, building connections and opportunities for Autistic people to feel supported, welcomed, and connected in their own hometown or county.
