🎡🎉 County Fair Olympics Fun at Avir at Longview 🎉🎡

Yesterday, our residents and guests had an absolute blast participating in the County Fair Olympics at Avir at Longview! From the fishing and racing games to the always exciting pie-in-the-face, the day was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Crystal, our Nurse Practitioner, for helping prepare and kick off the games, and to her two children for lending a hand throughout the event. Thank you to Ms. Traci, our Admissions Coordinator, for helping pass out prizes, Ms. Debbie, Activity Director from Haven Oaks, for bringing residents to visit, Mr. Riley from Heart to Heart Hospice for donating cookies and cakes for prizes, Mr. Taylor from Three Oaks Hospice for the goodie bags for each resident, Mr. Ricky from transportation for volunteering for the pie in the face game, and Ms. Amanda, our CNA, for helping serve refreshments.

It truly took a village to make this day so special, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped bring the fun to life for our residents! 💙

Rebecca’s journey is a wonderful example of what happens when a motivated resident joins forces with our interdisciplinary rehab team. By tackling her personalized program head-on, she built back her strength and endurance step by step. Today, she is completely independent and off supplemental oxygen. Join us in celebrating her well-deserved success! 🌟

Father’s Day was made extra special at Avir at Longview as each of our dads received a thoughtful Father’s Day gift! It was a small way to show our appreciation for the wonderful fathers and father figures who are such an important part of our community.

We loved celebrating these special gentlemen and making sure they felt honored and appreciated on their day! 👏

Friday was a wonderful day at Avir at Longview as we came together for an employee appreciation meal celebrating Juneteenth, Father’s Day, and the close of CNA Week. It was a meaningful time to honor our staff and all they do each day for our residents and one another.

A heartfelt thank you to our dietary manager, Miss Connie, and her team for preparing such a delicious meal, and to our housekeeping supervisor, Mr. Billy, for grilling hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone to enjoy. We are so grateful for the teamwork, heart, and dedication that make our Avir family so special! 💙

As part of Friday’s staff appreciation celebration, we also took time to celebrate a very special birthday, Happy Birthday to our maintenance man, Randy Bobo! 🥳

🌮 Walking Taco Day Was a Hit! 🌮

Our CNA Week celebration at Avir at Longview got even tastier with Walking Taco Day! A huge thank you to Ms. Aleshia and Ms. Shelly from Heart to Heart Hospice for providing this delicious treat for our hardworking team.

We are so grateful for community partners who help us celebrate and recognize the incredible CNAs who provide compassionate care every day. It was a fun and flavorful way to show our appreciation! 💙
