Smart Start Early Learning Center is a center for children ages 2 1/2 years to Kindergarten age.
Building Strong Foundations one skill, one connection, one child at a time! Smart Start ELC opened it's doors in June 2009, here in Longview, WA. A once two classroom, two class facility, now has grown to maxing out our space of three classrooms and 7 different program options from toddler classes to preschool/pre-k and half-day Kindergarten options. Smart Start ELC has always strived to meet the early childhood needs this community has and provide quality education to our youngest learners in our community. Smart Start ELC serves children in Longview, Kelso, Cathlamet, Castle Rock, Toutle, Kalama, WA and Rainer and Clatskanie, OR.

Our Toutle classes follow our STEAP approach, giving children opportunities to learn through Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Physical Education with hands-on experiences designed to encourage a love of learning!

In our NEW Heart Start Homeschool Enrichment Program, children won't just learn alongside one another — they'll connect with one another, create together, discover together, problem-solve together, and celebrate together. From collaborative art projects to hands-on STEM explorations and team challenges, students will have opportunities to connect through shared experiences that make learning meaningful and memorable💛
We believe some of the most valuable parts of childhood happen in community: the friendships formed during a project, the excitement of making a new discovery together, the confidence gained from trying something new, and the sense of belonging that comes from being known and valued.

Our Heart Start Homeschool Enrichment Program is a place where children CONNECT through community, CREATE through art, music, and drama that spark creativity and confidence, and DISCOVER through hands-on STEM labs and critical thinking adventures. As they explore the world around them today, they're building the skills, character, and confidence they'll carry into tomorrow. We can't wait to see where their dreams take them!
