I’m a girl’s girl. Always have been. 💕

I genuinely love seeing other women succeed. I’m not jealous of another woman’s accomplishments, and I don’t believe someone else doing well takes anything away from me. You won’t find me sitting around tearing down another woman or trying to interfere with her livelihood.

I normally keep quiet and don’t address negativity, but this week crossed a line.

Having my business content reported to Facebook as “selling drugs” because I advertised Botox pricing—the same type of advertising you see throughout the aesthetics industry—was incredibly disheartening. Especially knowing there has also been gossip and negativity surrounding a business I have worked extremely hard to build.

From the outside, my life may look easy. It isn’t.

I’m 50 years old. I worked hard to get through nursing school. I’ve lived with Multiple Sclerosis since I was 21, and there are days when doing things other people never have to think twice about takes everything I have. A few months ago, our home burned to the ground and my family lost everything.

And I still got up. I still went to work. I still showed up for my family, my clients and my business.

So when someone intentionally tries to hurt the livelihood I’ve worked so hard to build, it hits differently. I’m not asking anyone to feel sorry for me. I’m asking women to do better by other women.

There is room for ALL of us to succeed. Someone else’s success does not diminish yours. If another woman is doing well, applaud her. Learn from her. Work harder. Build something you’re proud of. But don’t try to tear her down simply because you don’t like seeing her succeed.

I know what I’ve survived to get where I am, and I’m proud of what I’ve built. I’ll continue working, taking care of my family, supporting other women and cheering for their success.

I won’t speak about this again. The people involved know who they are, and I hope at some point they take a hard look at how they choose to treat other women.

Women supporting women shouldn’t just be something we post. It should be something we actually live. 💕
