ACHTUNG CREATIVE FRIENDS!

Arts Longview is working with LeTourneau University on a study looking at the potential for a local maker space, and they need to hear from Longview area artists and makers.

It’s about giving Arts!Longview and LETU a clearer picture of what our creative community actually needs.

LETU is only keeping the survey open through October 4, so the window is pretty short. They’ll be turning the responses into a report for Arts!Longview, and the more voices we get in the mix, the better picture they’ll have.

Painter? Sculptor? Photographer? Ceramicist? Woodworker? Jewelry maker? Fiber artist? Musician? Designer? Crafter? Professional creative? Weekend troublemaker with a glue gun?

Get In!

Your input is a part of the bigger creative conversation.

Pass it on!

It’s quick and non-obtrusive

Maker Space Community Interest Survey A Maker Space lab (or makerspace) is a collaborative, hands-on workshop environment space where people gather to explore, design, prototype, and create physical projects.

It’s a big season for art.

LMFA just wrapped another successful Masterpieces & Martinis fundraiser. Thursday brings Arts Longview’s Artwalk Longview, and the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center kicks off its opening concert series featuring artwork by Mel_theartist_.

And Saturday…

Charles Arnold’s Masters & Pieces Gallery Warming at Bridget Stiles’s lovely The Lab On Green .

Wet paint. Pours from INC. 1871 Spirits & W**e. Nibbles from Brady Colby. Tunes curated by Freudenfreude.

Lively up yourself!

A little art, a little music, something to drink, something to eat.

Bring your checkbook.

Hey kids.

Keep Longview Beautiful and the Longview Fire Department are expanding Sow a Seed this year — October 11, 2026 | 1–5 PM at the Green.

And Freudenfreude has been handed the keys to curate a local makers market.

We’re calling it "Flourish & Flutter".

We’ve got limited spots left, but we’re being particular about what fits the mix. Trust us—you’ll have some seriously good neighbors.

We’re looking for:

• Upcycled work — not “vintage” resale
• Unique quilters & textile artists
• Metalwork
• Stained glass & glasswork
• Ceramics work
• Generally inventive, wonderful, handmade treasures that deserve some sunlight

The vendor fee is minuscule, because cash shouldn’t be a hurdle.

It’s not a flea market, and it ain’t an art fair, either.

It’s a beautiful collision of art, craft & imagination.

If your work belongs in the mix, shoot us a link or a few photos in Messenger.

If it’s a fit, we’ll be in touch.

Our community-minded friends and frequent collaborators at Alchemy TX have got your back.

On your way to Garden Sessions, Sunday (9/20), stop in, load up your basket, and score 20% off when you tell them Freudenfreude said hi.

Quality people & quality products. A good reason to make a stop before you hit the gardens.

Thank you, Lauren!

Our friend Krystin Fisher Art has a solo show through 6/27 at Rose City Art Gallery in Tyler. You should go check it out. She’s kind of a big deal.
