RiverCities Transit and RiverCities LIFT will run fare-free on October 2, 2026, to assist veterans and their families with transportation to the Veterans Stand Down event at the Cowlitz County Expo Center located at 1900 7th Ave in Longview.

RiverCities Transit and RiverCities LIFT support the annual Week Without Driving event. We challenge you to see the world from a different perspective that many individuals experience daily. Not only does this limit air pollution, but it can allow you to out and enjoy some physical activity by walking, cycling, or riding Transit. To support this event, Transit will operate fare-free on Monday, October 5, 2026.

Join RiverCities Transit for a fun event at the Cowlitz County Expo Center parking field on 7th Ave in Longview, just across the street from the fairgrounds. This event is free and will take place from 10 AM to 3 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2026. We will have our new hybrid bus on display. Come take a photo in our bus cutout and spin the wheel for a chance to win a prize!

RiverCities Transit Upcoming Service Changes
Effective October 12, 2026

Route 31: Add a 7:00 p.m. departure from the Longview Transit Center. The return trip will end at Beech Street and 15th Avenue.

Route 32: Add a 7:00 p.m. departure from the Longview Transit Center. The return trip will end at the St. John Medical Center main entrance.

Route 33: Add a 7:00 p.m. departure from the Longview Transit Center. The return trip will end at 15th Avenue and Hemlock Street (Safeway).

Route 45: Adjust the timetable to improve transfer connections at the Longview Transit Center on the 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. trips. Add a 7:00 p.m. departure with the return trip ending at the Longview Transit Center.

Route 57: Add a 7:20 p.m. departure from the Kelso Amtrak Depot, with the return trip ending at Washington Way and 9th Avenue.

Route 433: Discontinue commuter bus service due to low ridership, effective at the end of service on Friday, October 9, 2026.

RiverCities Transit LIFT: ADA paratransit service provided by LIFT will extend its hours to match fixed-route service.

Five bus routes serving Kelso and Longview will run after 7 p.m. starting Monday, Oct. 12, but a little-used route to Rainier is going away. ⤵️ Find a link to the story in the comments.

RiverCities Transit and RiverCities LIFT will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, to observe Labor Day with their families. The Transit Center will also be closed, and there will be no bus service.
