Celebrating 100 years of league bowling in Longview Kelso: The Elks lodge on 12th avenue in Longview according to records was a bowling alley 2 different times. Jim Torrence along with E.B. Buckwalter moved the 2 lanes out the of the YMCA in 1931 and added two more lanes for a total of 4 lanes. The bowling alley entrance is at the far right of the building which leads to the basement. There is a BOWLING sign on the building in this picture by the entry. They operated at this location for four years until they sold the lanes and they moved to a building on Commerce Avenue. That bowling alley, known as Longview Recreation, burned down in the 1940s so bowling returned again to the basement of the Elks lodge in 1946. Hal Webster ran the bowling alley until 1952 when he sold the lanes to the new K&M Bowl which opened in 1952.

100 years of league bowling in Longview Kelso: Here is a picture of the "Kelso Alleys" building that is still located in Kelso on Oak street. The building housed 6 lanes on the street level floor. The pins were set by hand. The owners, Ken Kulm & Wendell Manuel were the same two men who built the original K&M bowling alley in Longview. After the 1957-58 bowling season came to an end, the 6 bowling lanes were moved over to the K&M bowl for their expansion from 12 lanes to 20 lanes for the 1958 season. After the Kelso Alleys vacated the space honest John Zonich moved his boating store in where he sold outboard motors too.

Join us this Sunday morning September 13th for our special. We will have 32 lanes available this Sunday. Doors open at 9am

Junior league starts this Saturday! We have 4 openings for bumper bowlers ages 4-6 which starts at 9am. We have one opening in the Bantams age group from 6-8 (no bumpers) at 10:30am. Cost is just $7 per week for both these age groups. Our Preps and Junior Majors division is currently full.
