SUNDAY RECAP ⛪️

Today, Pastor Ed shared a powerful message called “What Are Your Numbers?” as we celebrated Back to Church Sunday!

📖 2 Chronicles 34:1–33 | 2 Kings 22

Josiah became king at just 8 years old, and Scripture tells us that he chose to seek God and live his life to the fullest.

The message challenged us to ask ourselves:

• When did you begin to seek God?
• When did you begin to cleanse the evil and the world from your life?
• When did you decide to build His Kingdom rather than your own?

We were reminded that our time, talent, and treasure are all resources God has entrusted to us. We should never sell the next generation short. Believe in them, raise the bar, and parent them well.

✨ Takeaway:
Success comes when we humble ourselves.

Josiah left a profound mark on his nation and its history. What kind of mark are we leaving on the people and generations coming after us?

⛪️ Sunday Recap | Now Faith Is...

Today, Pastor Ed continued our “A Time of Altars & Sacrifice” series with Part 10, looking at the altars that alter us.

Through the story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18, we were reminded that the confrontation between good and evil is always present. The question is, which altar are we giving our attention to?

We looked at the futility of idols and the imagery Scripture gives us of how weak and ineffective they truly are. Psalm 115 reminds us that idols may have eyes, ears, mouths and hands, but they cannot see, hear, speak or act.

But there was also a powerful contrast between condemnation and grace. The Old Testament shows us moments of immediate judgment and death, while the New Testament reveals the incredible grace we have been given through Christ. Ephesians 2:1-10 reminds us that even when we were dead in our sins, God made us alive with Christ.

✨ The takeaway:

Another Chance.
Bring your stuff to God. Bring the things you've been carrying, the things you've been struggling with, and the things that need to be laid on the altar. Because God's grace gives us another chance.
What a reminder that the altar isn't just about what we leave behind. It's about what God can do with what we bring to Him. 🙏
