3 week video of the bebes! Ears are in that funny stage where they're trying to lop. These guys are so sweet!! Genders were checked and we think the smoke pearl and frosty/blue point are does and the blue and tiny opal are bucks.
We like to temper expectations around here: the blue point/frosty might stay. 😁

Sandra's babies got a quick wellness check today. They are all fat and healthy, even the tiny opal baby. 😊 Eyes are open and they're starting to get curious. I love the ombre of the grays showing 4 different genetic colors! Blue, opal, blue point(?), and blue frosty(?). We'll know more about the colors the more the fur grows out. Litters like this help us understand what recessive genes are hiding behind our senior buns.

Update: 1 week old French Lops!
I take them out everyday and handle them for a few seconds each, just so they are used to being picked up.
This opal x opal pairing gave us some surprising, exciting colors! I was hoping for at least one blue, and got the blue and 2 extra colors! I'm excited to see them grow out. My guess is blue frosty or blue sable point/ blue point. Any color gene people have opinions? There is sabled blue chin and behind the mom.
After downsizing the rabbitry, and a very busy Spring chasing 4 kids around to track meets, soccer games, etc, we have the first litter of French Lops of 2026!
DL's Sandra (opal) x Bun Bun Bungalow's Bruce/Teller (opal) had a litter of 5 with some color! One tiny little pipsqueak in there with 4 healthy looking chunkers.

Though we love our bunnies here at Dandelion Lane, today we are celebrating the victory, hope, and new life of Resurrection Sunday. May your day be filled with joy and blessings! He is risen!!

I had a great time at the WSRBA show in Monroe today! Thank you for putting on such a great event! Congrats to Thompson 3B Rabbitry for your BOB and BOSB wins in all 3 shows!! And how awesome to see a French Lop get Reserve in Show! Their Coco Chanel was dominant today!
