Weekend Forecast Update

A pleasant final weekend of summer is ahead.

Both Saturday and Sunday should start with morning clouds, then give way to some afternoon sunshine. Highs will range from the mid 60s to low 70s.

Nights will have a definite late summer feel, with lows dipping into the mid 40s to low 50s.

Pretty nice weather for summer’s last weekend.

Wow! Look at these reflection photos taken yesterday by Bill Quehrn. Bill is well known for being on KGMI for many years. He sent me these photos to show the calm water down at the Bellingham Marina.

He wrote: "We happened to be driving by Bellingham's boat harbor this morning when we noticed the breath-taking reflections playing out on the perfectly calm water. In all the years we lived in Bellingham I don't ever recall seeing the extraordinary degree of absolute perfection in the mirror images before us."

Nearing 6:30 AM 9-18-26: Looks like we have the coldest morning 🥶so far this season with my car temp showing 40 degrees near Everson this Friday morning. How cool did it get by your location this morning?

Quite the range in max temps so far today---close to 80 degrees in east county and 60's near the water. Hope you are enjoying the fading warm days of summer!

Wow! Look at this fog bow that Jennifer Opatz captured this morning near NW Kennels!! Fog bows are similar to rainbows but b/c fog droplets are so small, the color appears white to the eye. "Diffraction spreads out and overlaps the colors so much that they blur together, making the bow look mostly white or ghostly with very faint red and blue edges."

Did anyone else see this phenomena this morning?
