First Tee - Middle Georgia

Please join us in welcoming Cameron Jones, our new Community Outreach Coordinator at First Tee – Middle Georgia!

Cameron was born and raised in Albany, Georgia, and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Sport Management. Prior to joining First Tee – Middle Georgia, Cameron gained experience in the baseball industry, including scouting with Prep Baseball Georgia and working with the Cape Cod Baseball League.

As Community Outreach Coordinator, Cameron works to expand First Tee’s presence throughout Middle Georgia by building relationships with schools, community organizations, families, and young people. He is excited to help connect youth with programs that use golf to develop character, confidence, and valuable life skills.

Outside of work, Cameron is an avid University of Georgia fan and enjoys following Bulldog athletics across all sports.

We’re so excited to have Cameron on the team and can’t wait for you to get to know him. Help us give him a warm First Tee welcome in the comments! 👏

All funds raised directly support scholarships for First Tee participants, ensuring that every child, regardless of financial circumstance, can access our programs at no cost.

These scholarships allow us to continue offering high‑quality, character‑building experiences that help young people grow both on and off the course.

This support also strengthens our work with community partners, enabling us to provide free programming for youth. Together, we’re expanding access, removing barriers, and creating opportunities that last far beyond the final hole.

The marathon is more than a challenge. It’s a commitment to the kids we serve and the communities we stand alongside. It’s a day that reflects who we are and the future we’re building.

There are far too many broken hearts in Macon-Bibb tonight, ours included. If you’re interested in being one of the helpers, there are many organizations in our community who could use your help. Whether it’s time or treasure you want to offer, these organizations and many others in Macon-Bibb County are doing the long-term, day-to-day work of supporting and uplifting young people. We've posted their online links in the comments.
If you’re part of an organization not listed here, please feel free to share your information in the comments. We’re creating a separate post to share information about support for those directly affected by this morning’s shootings.

Fall classes have officially teed off, and we’re off to a GREAT start! 💚

There’s nothing quite like being back on the course with these kids! From learning the fundamentals of the game to building confidence, perseverance, respect, and resilience, First Tee is about so much more than golf. Through the game, we’re helping young people develop life skills they can carry with them far beyond the course. And we’re just getting started! 💪

Want to help us make an even bigger impact? 🏌️‍♂️

Join us for our 100 Hole Golf Marathon on October 19th! It’s a fun (and ambitious!) day on the course supporting the programs that give kids the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive through golf. Get involved, support the cause, and help us make every swing count! ⛳️
