We have been using our laser therapy to help our patients recover from surgery. We are seeing great results in decreasing inflammation, pain and reduction in scar tissue after any type of surgery. The most common question we receive is how soon can I do laser post-surgery? The sooner the better. Appointments are available online or call us anytime. “To say that laser therapy has been life changing sounds extreme and yet, for me, it’s true. I have osteoarthritis in my hip. I had no problem walking or sitting. However, I could only stand for 5-10 minutes before I had significant hip pain. I was told my situation was only going to worsen and was provided the options of steroid injections and physical therapy before hip surgery was required. I wanted to try non-invasive options before going down the road of injections and surgery.
I tried many months of physical therapy and multiple other non-invasive treatments to ease the pain. I won’t include the list here because I don’t want to dissuade anyone from trying any non-invasive option that may help them. They all helped a bit, though none provided significant relief. That is, until I began seeing Michele for laser therapy.
She cautioned me that each situation and person is unique. And, because of the chronic nature of my condition, it may take some time to feel relief. I went in with an open mind, as I had with other types of treatment. The evening after my first session, I could already tell something was different…and better. Each session has continued to improve my condition and has allowed me to stand for extended periods of time, sometimes for hours if I’m moving around a bit. I can engage in many activities that I had been limiting due to pain. While I still have hip pain occasionally, it’s infrequent. Laser therapy has opened my world up again. I am truly grateful.” -Angela

A few weeks ago, Dr. Colleen sprained her ankle(this is a sample photo as we forgot to take a picture of her injured ankle…her’s looked just like this!) and we turned to our class IV Laser to treat it. It was an incredible experience as the laser penetrated to the injured ligaments and brought down the inflammation. Long story short, her ankle got better in half the time it would normally take. We knew laser worked great on acute injuries and getting to experience that first hand reaffirmed the power of the laser with acute injuries. Next time you or someone you know has an acute injury… Think class IV laser therapy. We have appointments available to schedule online.
