This August, Schmidt’s Auto is proud to partner with the Dane County Humane Society for our very first Scrap for Shelter fundraiser!

From August 1st through August 31st, bring your unwanted scrap metal to either Schmidt’s location, and 100% of the scrap proceeds will be donated to the Dane County Humane Society to help provide food, shelter, medical care, and second chances for animals in need.

Whether you’re cleaning out your garage, basement, shed, barn, or workshop, every piece of scrap makes a difference!

🦆 Margaret Update! 💛

Margaret is still keeping watch over Schmidt’s Auto… and she’s not alone anymore. 🥹

Our favorite mama duck has been spending her days tucked safely into her nest, making sure her little ducklings stay warm, protected, and close. Every day we check in from a respectful distance, and it’s been incredible watching her dedication.

We’ve made sure she has fresh water nearby and are giving her all the space she needs while she raises her family. ❤️

Everyone at Schmidt’s Auto is officially invested in Team Margaret, and we know many of you are too! Thank you for following along on this unexpected adventure.
