❄️ 2025–26 Season in Review 🏂
We may have been a little quiet on social media, but we definitely weren’t quiet on the slopes.
This past winter brought another season of Boardslide programs, new experiences, returning riders, and plenty of time on the snow.
🏳️🌈 Pride Ride was COLD. Like, really cold. But that didn’t stop more than 60 people from coming out to enjoy the slopes with us! We provided everyone with gaiters and hand warmers to help beat the cold, and our crew stayed brave, bundled up, and comfy all day. Pride Ride remained pay-what-you-can to help make a day on the mountain more accessible, and we raffled off six free lift tickets on the bus ride there.
🏂 Winter Camp welcomed another group of young people to the slopes, giving youth the opportunity to learn, build their skills, and spend time outside together.
❄️ We also brought together Milwaukee Winter Camp alumni and their families for a tubing day, giving us a chance to reconnect and keep those relationships going beyond camp.
One of the things we’re especially proud of this season was getting more of our Boardslide alumni outfitted with their own ski and snowboard gear. We love introducing people to winter sports, but we want those opportunities to last beyond a Boardslide event. Having their own gear means our alumni have one less barrier between them and getting back on the mountain.
A HUGE thank you to Focus Boardshop - Madison, WI, the REI Cooperative Action Fund, Cascade Mountain, and Crystal Ridge for helping make this season possible. From funding and gear to affordable access to the slopes, these partnerships help us keep breaking down barriers to winter recreation. We couldn’t do this work without our community behind us. 💙
That’s what Boardslide is about: creating access to outdoor recreation, building community, and helping people develop a relationship with the outdoors that can last for years.
Thank you to everyone who rode with us, volunteered, donated, or cheered us on this season.
We’re already thinking about what comes next. See you on the snow! 🏂❄️

What a rad season send off! Our volunteer crew wrapped up winter 2025 with a day on the slopes at Cascade Mt’s Luau party. We demoed new gear, searched for hidden prize coconuts, and ripped some laps with some of the Midwest’s best. We’re incredibly grateful to this crew of amazing humans who help spread the stoke. 👏🏻🥳❄️🙌

The Boardslide volunteer & partner crew showed out for Focus Boardshop's annual Banked Track Race! Chez, JP, Adam, April, and Dobbe all put up stellar times, with several of them taking the podium! We're incredibly proud to have such a deep pool of snowsports skill and knowledge on our crew. Way to go everyone!
Shout out to Focus for continuing to foster an inclusive boardsports community! This year they added a non-binary category to demonstrate support and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community. This effort means a lot, especially amidst the current national hostility towards q***r & trans folks. We're very grateful for the partnership and shared effort.

Big News! Share Winter, our Winter Camp partner and grantor, is currently working with Mikaela Shiffrin, who recently won her 100th World Cup win in Italy! Their shared goal is to raise $100k to celebrate Mikaela's 100 wins!
Boardslide Mission is incredibly honored to be a part of this network of snowsports enthusiasts working to make the sport we love more accessible to everyone. Thank you & !

Congratulations to this season's Gear Scholarship recipients!
These 5 Winter Campers have demonstrated their passion for snowboarding by attending camp year over year, and have supported each other as they build their skillset! Each of them submitted stellar essays describing why they love snowboarding and what receiving gear would mean for them. We're excited to provide them with their own snowboards, bindings, and boots to continue their pursuit of winter passion.
Thanks to , , , , and for helping to share winter with these amazing youth.
Shout out to for your support in refurbishing gear! It takes a village :).
