Blue's the Clue: Souring Milk for Science introduces students to the effect temperature has on reducing and controlling the growth of bacteria. Students will observe different types of milk at different temperatures to learn about the importance of pasteurization and food safety.

Once you have read "Tales of a Dairy Godmother: Chuck's Ice Cream Wish" with your 3-5 grade students, try this dairy-themed lesson!
In "A Day Without Dairy," students will create, read and interpret graphs relating to the economic importance of the dairy industry. Students will be challenged to understand the economic consequences of a day without dairy.
