Allowing children to serve themselves food can support several important developmental skills:

Builds independence: Children practice doing things for themselves rather than relying entirely on adults.

Helps them recognize hunger and fullness: Choosing how much food to put on their plate gives children opportunities to listen to their body's cues.

Improves motor skills: Scooping, pouring, using tongs, and serving with utensils strengthen hand-eye coordination and fine-motor control.

Encourages confidence: Successfully serving themselves can give children a sense of responsibility and accomplishment.

Teaches practical life skills: Serving food is a useful skill they'll need as they become more independent

Welcome back to school!! Everyone had a great day and was excited to be in their new classrooms and we are excited for the endless fun this year has in store for us!

We celebrated all day long today for our Seniors last day before they move onto Kindergarten! They had a glow in the dark bubble dance party, water day with watermelon, and an all blue afternoon snack! We are going to miss them so much!

Safety starts with preparation! ❤️🩹 Our teachers are completing CPR and First Aid certification training to ensure they're ready to respond when it matters most. Investing in their knowledge means creating a safer, more confident environment for every child in our care.

Mrs. Mo never fails to sweeten our day! She visited each teacher with a smile and Cookie Monster"ista" handing out a variety of cookies.
