Thank you for donations allowing us to provide a pop up lunch for people who had to evacuate homes in Linn County, OR, due to the wildfire threat.
Over the last week, we have been able to give 2000 meals to families impacted by fires.

Today we got to be in-person with Food for Lane County on their farm in Eugene, OR. And we donated funds to help them give more fresh produce and nutritious food to help the community.

Today we’re in Jefferson County, Oregon, where evacuations have been lifted after multiple wildfires hit here over the last two weeks. This morning we donated fruit, water, dairy, and groceries for residents who are returning to homes that were saved but have been without power and water for some time. They will be able to replace spoiled food and refrigerated items with fresh, complimentary groceries and ready-to-eat meals in case of additional power interruptions. New fires are still burning in nearby counties.

Today we remember the 3 year anniversary of the devastating Maui wildfires and an initial donation from Green Day that helped us give 50,000 meals to people on the island.

It was the beginning of an effort where many music artists joined us to give hot meals, free groceries, water, shelter, and eventually open a permanent food pantry that distributed food again today 🙏

We remember 103 who lost their lives and those who lost 2,200 homes, those who lost businesses and careers, and a way of life that is not quite the same today.

They say their lives are punctuated by a before and an after.

Streator, IL, was hit by a devastating F3 tornado in June. Communities receive help in the days immediately after a disaster, but then help fades away. Insurance payments are delayed. Time is missed from work. We know that recovery and rebuilding takes months and years. This week, we sent a grant to Streator Community Food Pantry to help them help people who were impacted by the storm and are experiencing long term financial hardship this summer due to home and property destruction. Good, nourishing food helps a body, home, and community get back on its feet 🙏

Check out photos from the hardest-hit areas a month after the Streator tornado.

We’re headed west to provide fire relief in Oregon. We were already organizing our first food distribution projects for the state when wildfires broke out this month. Now we’re making the effort bigger to assist the town of Warm Springs where residents lost homes and are running low on drinking water. Next week, we’ll be there to give food away in the state.

Our last project during July! We donated a grocery distribution for grandparents caring for children out of school for the summer in Michigan.
What a busy month it was! We helped organize food drops in ME, FL, AL, GA, IL, CA, NY, and more. Donations from concert tours gave 4,000 kids and families healthy meals. You could say it was a record month! 📀
