On Nov. 3, voters will decide on a constitutional amendment. A “Yes” vote would ban state and local governments from considering race, s*x, color, ethnicity, or national origin in hiring, education, contracting, and public programs. A “No” vote would allow those considerations. These considerations are used to address documented inequities or expand access to opportunity. Read more about this amendment by swiping through our infographic. Learn more about when and where to vote by visiting myvote.wi.gov/en-us/.

A new survey by the Moritz Center for Societal Impact at UT Austin and NASW reveals most U.S. social workers use AI for administrative tasks but demand clearer ethical guidelines, training, and client protections to ensure responsible implementation. While AI helps reduce burnout, professionals urge that its use must preserve human judgment and confidentiality, prompting the NASW to develop supplemental guidance for its Code of Ethics.
