NAMI Wisconsin is grateful to the Wisconsin Department of Administration for supporting our statewide su***de prevention efforts through the Violence Prevention Grant. This funding is helping us provide Crisis Safety Response Kits to teams across Wisconsin to increase safety for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or a mental health crisis.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on August 19 to assemble these kits. We are so thankful for our incredible volunteers - we truly couldn’t do this work without you!
A special thank you to Amanda and Logan from the Department of Administration for joining us, helping assemble supplies, and conducting a site visit as part of the grant assessment process. We appreciate you taking the time to see firsthand the important work our staff and volunteers are doing to support su***de prevention across Wisconsin!

We were excited to attend the CIT International Conference this week in Orlando, Florida! Our team had the opportunity to learn from CIT programs across the country and bring back new ideas as we continue strengthening and growing our programs in Wisconsin.
We were also proud to present "Sustainability Through Succession Planning: Strengthening Your CIT Program."
A special shoutout to Luke and Nick from the Kenosha CIT Team, who presented "Starting the Conversation: Connecting Veterans, PTSD, and Your Officers on a Path of Wellness." Thank you for representing Wisconsin and sharing your expertise!

🐾🦁 The NAMI Wisconsin team enjoyed a summer outing at Henry Vilas Zoo as an opportunity to step away from our busy schedules, reconnect, and recharge together. Strong teams are built through more than just the work we do every day. They grow through shared experiences, meaningful conversations, and time spent supporting one another.

"I walk to advocate and provide awareness for my friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, NAMI affiliates, and WI communities who are affected by mental illness. I want people to know they are not alone, NAMI is here to help, and together, we can eliminate stigma and discrimination around mental illness." - Stacey
Join Stacey and the NAMI Wisconsin team at NAMIWalks Dane County on Saturday, October 3. When you walk and fundraise with our NAMI WI team, the proceeds supports NAMI Wisconsin, helping us provide education, support, and advocacy for individuals and families across the state.
