In what projects to be a good year for Democrats, their leading gubernatorial candidate, state Rep. Francesca Hong of Madison, is scaring some in the party who fear she can‘t beat northern WI Congressman Tom Tiffany, a fierce Trump ally who has his own weaknesses.

The sheriff's department said its gas card statements are only available two years from the date they’re requested, so it’s unknown if Meister used the card far from Sauk County before June 2024.
