A trust is a legal arrangement where one party (trustee) holds and manages assets for the benefit of another (beneficiary). Trusts are usually used to manage assets, minimize taxes and provide for loved ones. For example, trusts are used in estate planning to avoid probate, minimize estate taxes and distribute assets according to a grantor’s wishes. Trusts can also be used to manage assets for people who are unable to do so themselves, such as children or people with disabilities.

Revocable trusts, also known as living trusts, can be changed or terminated at any time during the grantor’s lifetime. An irrevocable trust cannot be changed or terminated.

❓What are your most important roles and responsibilities?
🗨️My primary responsibilities are supporting and developing my team, ensuring efficient daily operations, and creating positive customer experiences.

❓Why do you like working for NGL?
🗨️I enjoy working for NGL because of the supportive environment and positive culture. I take pride in creating a space where people feel comfortable being themselves while helping make work engaging, enjoyable and rewarding.

❓What are some things you are most proud of accomplishing this year?
🗨️One of my proudest accomplishments this past year was being promoted to Operations Manager for the Funeral Home Support team. Pursuing the role pushed me outside of my comfort zone and challenged me to advocate for myself, my experience, and the value I bring to the organization. Earning the position after years of hard work and growth was an incredibly proud and rewarding moment for me.

Estate planning is the process of arranging and organizing the management and transfer of your assets both while living and after death. Estate planning includes the bequest of assets to heirs and the settlement of estate taxes and debt. It can also include guardianship of minor children or pets.

Most estate planning takes place with an attorney, but there are websites that can help walk you through it. It’s still a good idea to meet with an attorney to make sure you consider all assets, debts accounts and the creation of a will.
