The Picture Salon Team

In the shop this week, a behind-the-scenes look at a 63” x 78” original canvas, flown in from Argentina and hand-delivered by the collector.

We hand-stretch original canvases of virtually any size. All stretcher bars and moulding are cut and built in-house. We use poplar stretcher bars rather than pine, and only solid wood moulding. No plastic. No MDF.

Most shops default to pine. We choose poplar because it is more stable and less prone to warping over time, especially at larger sizes.

Every project is approached the same way, whether it is a museum-scale canvas or a first original from a local artist. The goal is simple. Use the right materials, assemble it properly, and treat the artwork and the person behind it with care and respect.

We focus on making custom projects possible. If you have something you have been wanting to make happen and keep hearing no, reach out. We will walk through it with you and see what is possible.

Thank you to the artists who support Picture Salon and let us be a part of what you create. Your trust and loyalty mean everything to our small business.

We truly appreciate every order and the opportunity to support your work. Wishing you a warm and creative holiday season.
