Today, we have a message about a very special cat that needs your help! ❤

Sweet, soft, gentle Stewie came through MCP doors in March with a cold. ⚕We see this often, and our team easily treated it. But after that, our medical team and care staff noticed something about Stewie: He snored like a train! His behavior didn’t indicate any problems, but the medical team decided to take a closer look. 🔎

With the help of our friends at Madison Veterinary Specialists, they got a variety of tests done. A CT scan of his head revealed a diagnosis: nasopharyngeal stenosis. This means his upper airway is narrower than a typical cat and narrower than it should be to allow him to breathe. 😿

Stewie is currently relaxing in foster and showing no signs of distress, but this could easily change. Because Madison Cat Project values every cat that comes into our program, we are committed to getting Stewie the surgery he needs to breathe normally. But we can’t do it alone. Stewie needs you! 🐾

The surgery Stewie needs costs about $10,000. This includes anesthesia, imaging, surgical procedures, pain management, and more. It’s an overwhelming prospect.

That’s where we need your help. Your donations from this letter will help us get Stewie the care he needs and send him home to a loving adopter. We can’t do this alone.
