Blue Apple Books

We always have so much fun finding books and merchandise to coordinate with Lanier House Madison’s monthly theme.

This month, of course, we had to find some fun editions/parodies of Agatha Christie’s books, and we hope you’ll come take a peek when you come to tea - or anytime!

Two weeks from tonight!!

We are thrilled to partner with the Huntsville-Madison County Library Foundation to welcome Sharon Cameron to Madison!

Sharon will also be visiting BJHS and JCHS on Tuesday, October 20, but if your high school student cannot attend due to the time (10:00, which is 2nd block, at BJHS; Refuel at JCHS)? or if you have a middle schooler, please make time in your schedule to reserve your spot so your young person can learn about this incredible book (based on a true story) and meet its bestselling author!

Even if you do not have an adolescent in your life, I’d highly recommend this event to anyone who loves good historical fiction and/or history (it’s based on a true story).

Ticket quantities are limited, so don’t delay!

It's Banned Books Week and we have some special events, displays, and offers planned!

Banned Books Week was launched in 1982 in response to a sudden surge in the number of challenges to books in libraries, bookstores, and schools. Held in the last week of September or first week of October, the annual event highlights the value of free and open access to information and brings together the entire book community — librarians, educators, authors, publishers, booksellers, and readers of all types — in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas.

See book details, including special preorder offer information about author Viola Shipman/Wade Rouse's upcoming book release! Use link in comments to preorder your book to qualify for this fun special offer.

And the cloudy weather makes it even easier to see! This State fan is thankful that I can peek out on occasion to see a snippet of the game.

Come on downtown today to support the local artisans, performers, and merchants who have worked so hard to make today a fun community event!
