Finding design was a journey.🤍
It took years of falling in love with psychology, marketing, coaching, creativity, and so many different ways of understanding people before I finally arrived at my own style of design and strategy, where all of those passions intersect.

And now that I’ve gotten here, I can see why I’ve always been drawn to ornate and intricate details, the textures and patterns of nature, the serenity of water, and the constant inspiration from God’s creation. ✨
And looking back, I can’t help but feel everything I’ve fallen in love with was all a piece of the puzzle bringing me here to this work.

We are SOOOOO EXCITED to introduce the new branding for Maude & the Bulldogs! 🤩🥰

MATB specializes in boutique training and boarding, with an emphasis on nurturing the relationship between the dog and their human.
The business exists because of one very special bulldog: Liam. A spitfire little guy who challenged her and completely changed the trajectory of her life. Even after he crossed the rainbow bridge, she knew she wanted her business to continue honoring him.

When Jen first reached out, she was looking for a website refresh (coming soon 👀) and was pretty attached to her existing logo, which featured line art of her bulldogs and cat.

As we talked more, she told me she was open to exploring a possible logo redesign, and I knew I wanted it to pay homage to Liam in some way.
So, I asked Jen for his nose print and after playing around with it, it became the letters ‘M’ and ‘B’ of her business name.

The typography is representative of the feminine & clean approach Jen brings into her work with the logomark adding a fun, symbolic touch (obviously referring to how fricken fun dogs are!!!)

Seeing Jen’s reaction made me SO happy to create something so meaningful for her, her story, and her business.
I LOVEEEEE getting to honor the passionate women behind the businesses I serve.

If you’re thinking new branding means throwing away everything you love about your business, that is NEVER the goal!!!

I signed on three new clients just last week across three very different industries… but I still have a niche!

When I first started my business, I thought niching meant picking an industry and a specific demographic.
I didn’t know there were other ways to niche.

8 months later, I can confirm niching down my way was the best way.

You probably were told to come up without something like:

I help [insert demographic] overcome [insert problem] by [insert process].

BORINGGGGGGGGG!
Yes, it may be true.
But it’s basic and you’re unique.

For me, I LOVE working with different industries, so I niched in different ways.

I niched on style with a more feminine, romantic aesthetic.
I niched on audience to focus on business women.
I niched on personality, knowing I needed big personality, visionary women.
And I niched through my process. Though not unheard of, it’s less common to find a brand + web designer & strategist who integrates Human Design & Astrology and is also a psychology & mindset buff with a certification in coaching.

ALLLLLL of those things on top of my bubbly energy, my sarcastic humor, and my ability to challenge you is my niche.

To me, there’s no such thing as copying or competing because there is only one of us.
