The Wisconsin Republican in charge of the investigation into Attorney General Josh Kaul’s use of an outside prosecutor says she is not stopping her probe simply because that prosecutor’s office closed.
State Sen. Mary Felzkowski, R-Tomahawk, said on Thursday that the Wisconsin Senate’s Special Committee on Oversight will not end its investigation into Kaul and the State Energy & Environmental Impact Center.

The latest Marquette Law School Poll shows that while Crowley has a statewide lead, 49-46, he is trailing in several key areas of the state.
"Among likely voters, Crowley holds substantial leads in the city of Milwaukee and the Madison media market, while Tiffany leads in the Green Bay/Appleton market and the north and west of the state," pollsters wrote.

The latest poll in Wisconsin’s race for governor is good news for Republican Tom Tiffany.
Marquette University Law School released its latest poll Wednesday, and it shows that Tom Tiffany has narrowed the gap in the race against Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.

Yesterday, the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) signed-off on a construction permit to develop a 300-megawatt Small Modular Nuclear Reactor (SMR) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
The first of its kind in the U.S., the reactor is being built by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The TVA is a federally-owned utility created in 1933 by the New Deal, operating in several southern states, and is one of the largest utilities in the U.S.

Most state agencies have submitted their budget requests, and the increase in funding over Act 15 is substantial.
Of the 48 requests thus far submitted, 41 are requesting an increase in all funds appropriations. Total agency requests amount to an increase of 8.94% over Act 15 (the current budget), or $9,008,512,400.

Imagine walking into the voting booth to find a binding referendum on whether your community will continue to honor the Fifth Amendment’s protection of private property. Hard to imagine, right?
Yet, in an incredibly significant way, that’s just what is going on in Janesville, Wisconsin. Voters aren’t being asked whether to repeal the Fifth Amendment, of course. But they are being asked whether the lawful use of private property can ultimately be conditioned on the approval of a voting majority.
