High Point Christian School

We capped off our week with another Fall Family Fun Night! 🍂✨

We’re so thankful for our High Point school community and all of the wonderful HPCS families who make nights like these so special. What a gift to have a beautiful evening together—building connections, sharing laughter, and celebrating our community!

Our first graders had a very special hands-on learning experience! One of our students brought in a chrysalis, and the class had the opportunity to watch as it changed and developed into a beautiful butterfly.

After patiently observing its transformation, the students released the butterfly into the wild so it could begin its next adventure!

"How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all." — Psalm 104:24

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for See You at the Pole! It was a beautiful time of coming together to pray for our schools, students, teachers, families, and community.

A special THANK YOU to our House Council for leading us in prayer and helping make this morning so meaningful. ❤️

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

We are grateful for everyone who showed up, prayed, and lifted up our school and community! 🙏🇺🇸

🎉 Now Introducing… the HPCS House Council! 🎉

We are excited to introduce a leadership opportunity for our 7th and 8th grade students.

House Council was created to empower students to identify needs, organize solutions, and faithfully serve our school community. Their focus will include servant leadership, school stewardship, student representation, service coordination, and enhancing school culture.

This year’s House Council is made up of 10 outstanding students—five 7th graders and five 8th graders—who were selected through nominations from their House members and an excellent application process. We are excited to see how these students will lead, serve, and make a positive impact at HPCS!

House Council's first event is See You at the Pole this Wednesday, September 23.

Our HPCS-Charis cross country team had an incredible first meet yesterday! We saw personal best times across the board, along with some outstanding finishes, finishing 4th overall! Wow!

🏅 We had three of the top five finishers in the girls’ 1.5-mile race!

🏅 We also had three of the top ten finishers in the 2-mile race!

🏅 And we had many, many top-20 finishes throughout the meet!

Congratulations to all of our finishers!

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed by the events of that day. We remember those who lost their lives, the families who lost loved ones, and the first responders and everyday heroes who demonstrated courage, compassion, and selflessness.

As a school community, we are reminded that even in difficult and dark moments, we have the opportunity to “shine for His glory through courage, kindness, service, and caring for those around us.

During chapel this morning, we kicked off our 2026–27 spiritual emphasis:

“Shine for His Glory”

This verse is based on Matthew 5:14–16. Students were reminded that Jesus is the true Light of the world, and because we belong to Him, we are called to let His light shine through our everyday words and actions so that others see Christ and give glory to our Father in heaven. ✨

What a great first week back! We are so excited to be together again and diving into another year of learning, growing, and making memories!

Our 2026–2027 Spiritual Emphasis is Shine for His Glory, based on Matthew 5:14–16.

Parents, we encourage you to take some time throughout the year to ask your students what they’re learning and talking about. Ask them how they can shine for His glory in their classrooms, homes, friendships, and communities.

We’re looking forward to seeing how God works through our students as they Shine for His Glory! ✨

Our full-day preschool class is having such a great week back!

How fun to learn, explore, and make memories together—from gym and music class to creating art and, of course, having lots of fun with friends! We’re loving seeing all the smiles as our preschoolers settle into another wonderful year at HPCS!
